The stage is set, the chants are poised, and the hearts of millions beat in unison. Ayodhya is preparing for a divine culmination, the consecration of the Ram idol at the long-awaited Ram Mandir. For seven days, a meticulously planned program of rituals and events will unfold, each step infused with ancient wisdom and profound significance. Join us as we delve into the day-by-day journey, a glimpse into the divine tapestry soon to be woven in the heart of India.

Day 1: January 16th – Cleansing the Ground for Divinity

  • Pran Pratistha Mahotsava: The grand celebration commences with the “Pran Pratistha Mahotsava,” marking the official start of the week-long festivities.
  • Atonement and Renewal: A purifying ceremony washes away any remnants of the past, paving the way for the sacred rituals to come.
  • Dashvidh Snan: The ten ingredients bath on the banks of the holy Saryu River symbolizes spiritual cleansing and preparation for the divine presence.
  • Vishnu Pujan and Godan: Worship of Lord Vishnu, the preserver, and the offering of a cow seek blessings for the consecration ceremony.

Day 2: January 17th – A Procession of Devotion

  • Ram Lalla Yatra: The idol of Ram in his child form, Ram Lalla, embarks on a grand procession through the streets of Ayodhya.
  • Mangal Kalash and Saryu Waters: Devotees, carrying “Mangal Kalash” filled with Saryu water, add a vibrant layer of faith and purity to the procession.
  • Celebrating the Divine Child: The joyous journey reflects the deep devotion Hindus hold for Ram Lalla, a symbol of innocence and hope.

Days 3-5: January 18th – 20th – Symphony of Vedic Wisdom

  • Elaborate Pujas and Yagnas: Renowned priests perform a mesmerizing array of pujas and yagnas, each ritual invoking divine blessings for the consecration.
  • Ganesh Ambika Puja: Seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, ensures a smooth and auspicious ceremony.
  • Varun Puja and Matrika Puja: Appeasement of the rain god and worship of the divine mothers ensure cosmic harmony and protection.
  • Brahmin Varan and Vastu Puja: Providing meals to deserving Brahmins and performing rituals for prosperity create a conducive environment for the divine.

Day 6: January 21st – A Final Touch of Purity

  • Sanctum Sanctorum Purification: The holy water of Saryu washes the inner sanctum, preparing it for the arrival of the divine.
  • Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas: Rituals for peace and offering of food complete the preparation of the sacred space.
  • Shayadhivas: Ram Lalla receives a divine bath with 125 urns of water, symbolizing complete purification and readiness for consecration.

Day 7: January 22nd – The Divine Moment Arrives

  • Morning Worship: The day dawns with devotional chants and offerings to Lord Rama, setting the stage for the grand event.
  • Consecration in Mrigashira Nakshatra: In the auspicious afternoon hour of “Mrigashira Nakshatra,” the idols of Lord Rama, Maa Sita, Lakshmana, Bharata, and Hanuman ji are installed amidst sacred mantras and hymns.
  • Live Darshan Across the Globe: Millions witness this historic moment through live telecasts, uniting in shared devotion and witnessing the breath of life being breathed into the holy idols.

Open Doors and Blessings:

Following the consecration, the temple gates open for devotees to participate in the “aarti” ceremony, marking the beginning of a new era of worship and divine connection.
